Adult Suicide Prevention Awareness Training
Suicide prevention awareness trainings are only for groups and organisations and not yet open to individuals. This is a 3.5 hour-long session which aims to:
- Equip participants with the knowledge to understand underlying issues that can cause suicidal thoughts.
- Help identify signs indicative of early suicidal thoughts.
- The course boosts participant confidence in their ability to support vulnerable people, reducing the risk of a suicide attempt being made.
- We also provide information on other suicide support services available in the Bexley Borough.
The course is most suitable for anyone that wants to help people, while improving their knowledge and understanding of suicide prevention. It’s a training useful to those who may come across anyone that appears to be struggling with life. The training can be done either in-person or virtually via Microsoft Teams.
If you are interested in doing the suicide prevention awareness group sessions, please email us at training@mindinbexley.org.uk. We will aim to respond within 5 working days.
