Time to Talk Day – Erith Town and Mind in Bexley

Image for Time to Talk Day. It says "Not Tooooo Bad". Sometimes means i feel lost and along. Have a conversation about Mental Health

To coincide with Time to Talk Day – Mind in Bexley staff will be at this Saturday’s Erith Town home game. The Dockers are at home to Welling Town and kick-off is at 3pm on Saturday 3rd February.

Staff from Mind in Bexley will be on hand to talk to supporters and offer advice and signpost into services – why not come down to the game to cheer on the Dockers and also speak to us?

Time to Talk Day is all about creating supportive communities by having conversations with family, friends, or colleagues about mental health. We all have mental health and by talking about it we can support ourselves and others.

Time to Talk Day is on Thursday 1 February and is run by Mind and Rethink Mental Illness in England, in partnership with Co-op. The aim of the awareness day is to support communities up and down the country to have more mental health conversations than ever before.

Time to Talk Day was launched in 2014 by Time to Change, a campaign to end mental health stigma and discrimination, which was run by Mind and Rethink Mental Illness.

Erith Town, nicknamed the Dockers, currently play in the Southern Counties East Premier Division. The club is based at the Stanmore Stadium, Bayliss Avenue in Thamesmead SE28 8NJ.

Formed in 1956 as Woolwich Town, the Dockers attained senior status in 1995-96 upon reaching the London Spartan League Premier Division in 1995-96. By then the club had already changed their name to Erith Town, reflecting a move to Erith Stadium. They moved to Thamesmead for the 2023-24 season, as they aim to progress on and off the field.
