Mind in Bexley staff attended Erith Town’s home game at the weekend (Saturday 3rd February). The Dockers triumphed 4-2 against Welling Town in blustery conditions at the Stanmore Stadium, Thamesmead.

Staff from Mind in Bexley were at the game to support one of our local community clubs and to offer advice to supporters and signpost into services. The visit was timed to coincide with Time to Talk Day on Thursday 1 February.

Time to Talk Day was established in 2014 and is run annually by Mind and Rethink Mental Illness in England, in partnership with Co-op. The aim of the awareness day is to support communities up and down the country to have more mental health conversations than ever before.

The Mayor of Bexley Cllr Ahmet Dourmoush was also at the game. Cllr Dourmoush represents the Longlands Ward in Bexley and was there supporting the Dockers and presenting the match ball and player of the match award.

Thanks to the Dockers for their hospitality and good luck for the rest of the season.
