Our Pantry team attended a food drive at Morrisons in Sidcup
On Thursday 6th February, Morrisons supermarket in Sidcup invited staff and volunteers from our Bexley Community Pantry to take part in their food drive. Viv and Rodney from the Pantry were there with a range of leaflets and Crisis Café cards ready to greet the customers.
They had a great morning talking to many people who were buying the ‘green bags’ which have a variety of foods in them. Green bags purchased by the customers were donated to the Pantry.
Viv Viney (Community Pantry Coordinator) said: “Rodney and myself had many chats with the customers and they were asking about the Pantry and how they can help support us. Also, quite a few customers asked about Mind in Bexley services and our Crisis Cafe. It was a very successful day and we’d like to offer a big thanks to Morrisons in Sidcup for the invitation.”
