Bexley United for Mental Health Awareness Week 2025
Mental Health Awareness Week 2025 was a huge success in Bexley. With this year’s national theme centred on “Community,” the borough of Bexley responded in great numbers to help raise awareness and support Mind in Bexley.
From local barbers, hair salons and high street shops to schools, sports teams, businesses and charities, the people of Bexley borough came together to support our #WearItBlue campaign – an initiative designed to spark conversations about mental health and wellbeing.
Throughout the week, shades of blue could be seen across the borough. Staff at local businesses dressed in blue to raise awareness and encourage dialogue. Businesses and supporters organised bake sales, yoga and meditation sessions, and offered customer discounts, all proudly wearing blue.
Simon Dolby (Development Lead for Mind in Bexley), said: “Once again the community of Bexley came together to support Mental Health Awareness Week and our #WearItBlue campaign.
“It was so heartening to receive such fantastic support from businesses, schools and other charities from across the Borough. We would like to encourage people to keep that energy up, as supporting mental health shouldn’t just be a one-week event. We need to ensure that people know there is help and support available in Bexley all year round.”
Thanks to everyone who helped support #WearItBlue, Mind in Bexley and the wellbeing of our community during Mental Health Awareness Week.
