Join us for Erith Wellbeing Outreach with Active Horizons
Mind in Bexley and Active Horizons are inviting local people to come and speak with us at our Erith Wellbeing Outreach event on Wednesday 29th July.
The outreach will take place on Pier Road, outside Erith Riverside Centre, from 11am until 2pm. Staff from Mind in Bexley and Active Horizons will be available to talk with residents about the mental health, wellbeing and community support available across the borough.
You do not need an appointment to attend. Whether you are looking for support for yourself, a family member, a friend, or someone you care for, please come along and have a conversation with our teams. We can help explain what services are available, offer signposting, and support people to find the right next step.
The event is part of Mind in Bexley’s partnership with Active Horizons, a youth-focused community organisation based in Erith. The partnership was launched earlier this year to improve mental health and wellbeing across the London Borough of Bexley, with a particular focus on supporting people from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities and residents who may face barriers to accessing services.
Through this collaboration, Mind in Bexley and Active Horizons are working together to raise awareness of local support, build trusted relationships with residents, strengthen culturally informed approaches to wellbeing and make it easier for people to access help in familiar community settings.
Active Horizons works with young people and the wider community to foster leadership, promote youth voice and create opportunities through mentoring, creative arts, youth leadership, sports, community engagement and health and wellbeing activities.
Our Wellbeing Outreach event is a chance to bring support closer to where people live. It is also an opportunity for people in Erith and the wider Bexley area to find out more about the broad range of help available through both organisations.
Our staff will be there to listen, answer questions and help point you in the right direction.
