Young Adult’s Project

What is the Young Adults Project (YAP)?

Young Adult’s Project (YAP) is a person centered support group which allows those age 18-28 to express themselves and also to gain the confidence and skills to empower themselves and others. Facilitated by a Mind peer advisor and co-facilitated by a volunteer; we meet on a weekly basis in a different location each week. We also do activities and events such as bowling, workshops and have guest speakers come in to chat.

What can you expect?

  • To meet others within a similar age bracket.
  • To empower people to gain the confidence and skills to talk to others.
  • Encourage others to make their own decisions in what they would like to see within the group- This includes workshops and activities.

Who can attend?

Individuals 18-28 who are clients of the Recovery college. Please complete a self-refer here or ask your health practitioner to refer to you the Recovery College.

How often do you meet?
