We are asking the next London mayor to make mental health a priority
On 2 May 2024, London will be voting for the next Mayor of London.
Mind in London and national Mind have launched an open letter calling on candidates to work with us to improve the mental health of all Londoners by addressing the five key priorities set out in our manifesto.
The open letter and full manifesto were launched on Thursday 4 April.
Londoners are facing increasing pressures from every aspect of life. We see first-hand the impact of poor mental health and this is only made worse by budget cuts to services.
We are asking the next London mayor to work with us to improve the mental health of all Londoners by addressing the 5 key priorities set out in our manifesto:
- Support Londoners who are affected by the ongoing cost of living crisis and those who are experiencing poverty.
- Tackle the health inequalities that Londoners face due to race and ethnicity.
- Protect and improve the mental health of London’s children and young people.
- Invest in London’s communities by improving access to community services.
- Support Londoners to access stable, good quality housing.
