New business builds strong links to Mind in Bexley

MKM Sidcup has selected Mind in Bexley as a cause to champion.

The new builders’ merchants based at Five Arches Business Estate officially opens to the public in February and has a VIP reception planned for tonight (5 Feb) where guests will have a tour of the impressive site, meet the 17-strong team and learn about Branch Director Daniel Fincham’s passion for Mind in Bexley.

Mr Fincham said: “I have a relative who is going through a hard time and needed immediate mental health support so I brought him in to talk to staff at the Mind in Bexley Crisis Cafe. He wasn’t comfortable talking to a relative so I wanted to ensure he spoke to someone and received professional help. I’m so grateful for the charity’s support and so we want the business to give its backing to say thank you.”

MKM is part of a network of building supplies sites across the country.

Mr Fincham added: “We employ local staff to support local customers. We stock everything from brick blocks, sand, cement and all aggregates. We have a kitchen and bathroom showroom, a plumbing and heating department – literally everything from ground to roof can be supplied for any project customers have on the go.”
