GETTING HELP IN AN EMERGENCY

If you don’t feel you can keep yourself or others safe right now, seek immediate help:If you are in an emergency crisis situation and feel your life, or someone else’s life, is at risk:

Call 999 and ask for an ambulance, or go to your nearest Accident & Emergency Department.

In both cases, please request an urgent mental health assessment.

If you need support, but you are not at immediate risk:

If you do not think you are going to act on your feelings and thoughts immediately, or in the next 24 hours, then contact:

  • Samaritans – Speak with someone 24/7: 116 123 (free from any phone)
  • National Suicide Prevention Helpline UK: 0800 587 0800/0800 689 0800
  • Contact your GP or out-of-hours service for an emergency appointment
  • Call NHS 111 (for non-emergency medical help and advice)
