Recovery College October- December Prospectus launches with new groups
Mind in Bexley has launched its new Recovery College Prospectus for October to December 2026, with a number of new groups joining the wide range of activities available for local residents.
The latest programme includes courses, groups and workshops designed around four of the Ways to Wellbeing: Be Active, Keep Learning, Connect and Take Notice. These approaches can support people to improve their mental health and wellbeing, feel more positive and get more out of everyday life.
Among the new additions are Blips, Slips and Dips, Movement Is Medicine, and See It. Believe It. Become It giving people even more ways to explore their wellbeing, build confidence and try something new.
Blips, Slips and Dips
Life does not always go to plan, and Blips, Slips and Dips provides a friendly and relaxed space to explore some of the ups, downs and unexpected challenges we can all experience.
The online group looks at what can help when things feel difficult, while also encouraging people to recognise the small wins and develop ways to get themselves back on track following a setback. The sessions offer conversation, activities, ideas and support in a non-judgemental environment.

Movement Is Medicine
Movement Is Medicine offers a completely different way to support wellbeing, using music and gentle movement to help people connect with themselves and lift their mood.
There is no right or wrong way to take part. People can dance, stretch, sway, tap, shake or simply move their hands, depending on what feels comfortable. There is no need to be a dancer and no pressure to perform, with cameras kept off during the online sessions.
See It. Believe It. Become It!
Also new this autumn is See It. Believe It. Become It!, a monthly online group focused on helping people think about the life they would like to create and the steps they can take towards it.
Using visualisation, intentions, affirmations and creative activities, participants will be encouraged to explore what they want, consider what is possible and begin turning their ideas into action. Those who return each month can build on their ideas, reflect on their progress and see how their vision develops over time.
Supporting wellbeing across Bexley
The Recovery College provides Bexley residents with practical opportunities to look after their mental health and wellbeing in different ways. Whether someone wants to become more active, learn techniques for managing difficult thoughts and feelings, meet and connect with other people or simply make more time for their own wellbeing, the programme offers a broad range of options.
Importantly, people do not need to wait until they are struggling before taking steps to support their mental health. Learning new skills, developing healthy routines, connecting with others and finding enjoyable activities can all become part of looking after our wellbeing in everyday life.
Recovery College courses are free and open to anyone aged 18 or over who lives, works or volunteers in the London Borough of Bexley, or who has a GP within the borough.
