Vacancy: An opportunity to join the marketing and engagement team at Mind in Bexley has become available.

The postholder will play a leading role is taking the award-winning Wellbeing Ambassador Project forward as well as establishing a new veterans service to support ex-military and their adult dependents in the London Borough of Bexley.

Interviews for the Project Engagement Officer vacancy will take place on Friday, 2 October and applications must be made through the Indeed portal.

The postholder will recruit, train and support barbers, stylists and a range of other service sector staff enabling them to engage with their customers in conversations around mental wellbeing and to signpost them on to additional help if needed.

The veterans project is a new initiative that will mirror our award-winning sister project delivered in East Kent. The postholder will identify ex-military and adult family members who need support and develop a range of activities to tackle loneliness and isolation, improve social connections, and support mental wellbeing. The postholder will establish a peer support group, monthly Saturday morning breakfast social session and signpost veterans to additional support when required.

In addition, the postholder will assist the general engagement work of the charity manning information stands at high footfall events.
