Carers Exhibition in Bexleyheath: “Navigating the Journeys of Unpaid Mental Health Carers”
Our Carers Exhibition, called “Navigating the Journeys of Unpaid Mental Health Carers”, is now available to view in reception of Bexley Civic Offices.
The exhibition will be at the Council offices until Monday 6th October. Anyone attending the Ageing Well event on Saturday 4 October will be able to view the exhibition as well as talk to staff from Mind in Bexley and a range of local organisations.
Written by Dr David Palmer, the exhibition gives a voice to those who are unheard and shines a light on an often-hidden crisis. The Carers Exhibition is a heartfelt tribute to those who deserve meaningful support that resonates with their lived experience.
Unpaid carers provide vital support to families and communities, yet too often feel overlooked and undervalued. While the UK economy benefits from an estimated £184 billion in unpaid care annually, Carer’s Allowance remains just £83.30 a week.
If you cannot attend the event, we have made the exhibition available in a smaller A5 version. You can also download a PDF version of the exhibition by clicking here: Carers Exhibition Booklet
For those planning to attend the Ageing Well event on Saturday 4 October (organised by Age UK Bexley and the London Borough of Bexley), our staff will be there to talk about Mind in Bexley’s services. The free event, open from 11am until 4pm, will include a marketplace of local charities, music and performances, workshops, fitness classes, and speakers.
