Local company hosts a fashion show in aid of Mind in Bexley

Local company Wardell’s Wardrobe is hosting a fashion show in aid of Mind in Bexley. It is being held at the Engine House in Erith on Friday October 13th.

Tickets are just £5 and are available to purchase at: https://wardellswardrobe.com/pages/fashion-show

The event will open at 7pm with a drinks reception and there will be the opportunity to do some shopping for fashion items produced by local companies, followed by a fashion show featuring local designers and brands. The catwalk models will be local people and not professionals, and include people from various racial backgrounds and the LGBTQ+ community – including from the ages 16 to 70 plus.

Event organiser Caroline Wardell said about the fashion show: “We have chosen Mind in Bexley as the charity that this event is in aid of because it helps so many people. I know lots of people who have been given support by Mind – so it is nice to support the charity and give them some funding. It is also Mental Health Awareness Month – when the event is being held, and Mental Health Awareness Day is just a few days before.”

Wardell’s Wardrobe is the retail side of Bamboo Wardrobe, which is predominantly a wholesale company. The clothes are designed in the UK and manufactured in Vietnam. The clothes that will be available to buy on the evening at the fashion event will be designs and styles that are not in the shops and the evening will be a great opportunity to grab yourself a bargain.
