Independent Mental Health Advocate (IMHA) Job Vacancy
An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a highly motivated individual to join the Independent Mental Health Advocacy Team at Mind in Bexley. Mind in Bexley is a leading third sector provider of mental health services in Bexley. The post will mainly cover working in hospital settings within Bexley Borough and nearby surrounding areas.
The successful candidate will be a qualified IMHA (Independent Mental Health Advocate), preferably with experience of working in both acute and forensic settings. Consideration will be given to applicants who have some formal training in mental health and have worked in either a forensic or acute mental health setting and are willing to achieve the national IMHA qualification.
This is a full-time post (36 hours per week), but 2 part time applicants will be considered. The successful applicant will be appointed on a fixed term basis for 18 months, subject to a six-month probationary period, satisfactory references and a Mind in Bexley Enhanced Clearance with the Disclosure and Barring Service.
