Open spaces workshops for 2016
Alers Road Allotment open from March until November on Monday & Thursday 10.30 – 1.30 pm.
1. Introduction to Eco therapy. Includes Health and Safety & Personal Safety
11th March 2016 @ the Eco-Garden 12:00 – 2:00 pm
Eco-Therapy improves mental and physical wellbeing by supporting people to be active outdoors doing gardening, food growing or environmental conservation work and other activities in nature. Workshop will also cover Garden Health and safety Tips and Personal safety Equipment.
2. Introduction and guide to a successful allotment.
First Monday of each Month @ Alers Road Allotment first session Monday 4th April 10.30 am – 1.30 pm
AT Allotment monthly tips through the year for each month, interactive step by step guide how to grow fruit and vegetables
3. Guide to Sowing Seeds
Eco Mind Garden Friday 8th April 12:00 – 2:00 pm
Learn how to sow seeds and fill your garden with a feast of flowers throughout the year.
4. Herb Garden for beginners.
Eco mind Garden Friday 27th May 12:00 – 2:00 pm
This workshop covers growing your own herbs, gives you simple tips on how to grow, care for and harvest 15 common herbs.
5. Pick & Pack to sell produce.
July through to October Monday & Thursday @ Alers Road 10.30 am – 1.30 pm
Interactive workshop will include step by step guide how to pick produce, how to pack to sell as part of Mind in Bexley social enterprise.
6. Environmental Gardening. Creating Containers and Maintenance
Eco Mind Garden Friday 15th July 12:00 – 2:00 pm
Get smart about using water in your garden. Creating containers and maintenance. Planting in containers is a great way to create displays that you can move around to suit your mood. Plants in containers do require more care than those in gardens, join our workshop, you find it easy with some advice.
7.Encourage wildlife to your garden.
Eco Mind Garden Friday 19th August @ 12:00 – 2:00 pm
Join us to find out how to make are a few small changes you could make to the way you manage your garden that can bring major benefits for the creatures that call it home.
8. End of year planning workshop for 2016
Mind Devonshire Road Friday 25th November 10 – 12
This will cover the highs and lows of 2016 across our open spaces. Look at Planning for 2017.
