We are looking for a highly committed and dynamic individual to set up, deliver and monitor Mind2Mind, a new and innovative peer mental health mentoring project.
The coordinator will recruit mentors from current service users in order to provide 1 to 1 mentoring support to new users of Mind in Bexley's services who are experiencing mental ill health and help them make positive choices about their lives and particularly to support them during important transition points to enable them to rebuild their lives.
You will be committed to promoting recovery and opportunity through Mentoring. If you have relevant experience, are sensitive to the needs of people with mental health issues, committed to empowering individuals and have excellent communication and listening skills then we would really like to hear from you. Experience of working with vulnerable individuals and with volunteers is necessary however we will consider individuals who have related experience of working in health and social care, education and other relevant areas. Full accredited training will be provided.
